Supporting the Removal of Contaminated Materials
ATLAS-SSI custom built and shipped an 8 cubic yard fully enclosed environmental clamshell bucket for removing contaminated materials from a river in West Virginia. The customer required a rush delivery of the bucket to the jobsite and the Atlas-SSI team worked around the clock to meet the requested delivery date.

We were paid a visit by the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection (WVDEP), who are the regulatory authority for our project and for the Ohio River along its boundary with the state of Ohio. The WVDEP personnel were quite impressed with our operation and are considering using it as an example of the type of environmental protection of America’s rivers as envisioned by the passage of the Clean Water Act.
